ISLA Sport was founded by LPGA Tour Player Sydnee Michaels, named after her daughter, Isla. Sydnee played college golf at UCLA and has been on the LPGA Tour for the last 10 years. Fashion has always been a passion for Sydnee, and she has always dreamed of starting a clothing line. From a junior golfer to a Tour Player, she struggled to find golf apparel that fit her sporty, athletic style. For most of her career, she wore mostly tennis clothes, trying her best to make them “golf course appropriate.” Sydnee wanted to create a brand that would be a hybrid of styles, combining tennis apparel’s sportiness with golf's timeless style. A brand that is as functional as it is chic, ISLA was designed to look and perform amazing on the course, court, or off. You will not find any busy prints, plain polos or baggy shorts here; we are all about streamlined, timeless style. As a Southern California native, Sydnee’s designs encompass the classic, simplistic style of the West Coast.

After suffering a career ending injury after the birth of her daughter, Sydnee had a lot of uncertainties for her future.
